The Bryan County Redskins will be playing at home against the Claxton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bryan County will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Bryan County can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 66-8 win over Savannah. Given Bryan County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Savannah is ranked 452nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Austin Clemons was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Another player making a difference was Gage Javis, who rushed for 35 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Claxton fell victim to Screven County's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 28-0 defeat at the hands of the Gamecocks. Claxton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bryan County's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Claxton, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
