For the first time this season, Verrado will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will face off against the Millennium Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Verrado comes in on four and Millennium on three.
Verrado is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-0 win over South Mountain. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Malachi Wilt had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 352 yards and six touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 301 passing yards per game. Eli Mock did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 75 receiving yards.
Verrado didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Adrian Ochoa, Kody Quine, and Jairius Handley picked up one apiece. Ochoa got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Millennium got the win against Shadow Ridge on Friday by a conclusive 55-34. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Verrado better keep an eye on Dmari Bryant. He was instrumental in Millennium's win, rushing for 369 yards and five scores while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Bryant is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 144 every time he's taken the field this season. Rayden Reibel was another key player, throwing for 144 yards and three TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes.
Millennium was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 410 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.
Verrado's record is now 4-1. As for Millennium, their record now sits at an identical 4-1.
Everything came up roses for Verrado against Millennium in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vipers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
