Wake County HomeSchool got a great performance from Eli Dadisman as he struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Those ten strikeouts gave Dadisman a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jace Jones, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Avery Martin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association was able to grind out a solid victory over Memphis Home Education Association on Thursday, taking the game 6-2. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly four runs.
Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association let Pierson GOODMAN and Collin FELTS run wild. GOODMAN got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI, while FELTS got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. FELTS has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah PULLING, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.
Wake County HomeSchool's record now sits at 22-8. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, their record is now 17-6-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Wake County HomeSchool has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
