Baseball Recap: Millville's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Millville unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 8-3 to the Benton Tigers. The Quakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Millville saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Brokenshire, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Brokenshire's first of the season. Another was Dylan Brokenshire, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Millville's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Benton, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Millville is set to face off against their familiar foe Muncy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Benton will challenge rival Bucktail at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
