The Tabernacle Torches will square off against the Chilton Christian Academy Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Tabernacle came up short against Cornerstone Christian and fell 40-33. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tabernacle in their matchups with Cornerstone Christian: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Chilton Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Trinity Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-12 victory on the road. Chilton Christian Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Chelsea Oliver and Milly Avery were among the main playmakers for Chilton Christian Academy as the former scored 9 points along with 14 rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Avery hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Their wins bumped Tabernacle to 1-1 and Cornerstone Christian to 6-1.
Tabernacle came up short against Chilton Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in February, falling 55-46. Can Tabernacle avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
