The Temple Christian Tigers never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against the Mintz Christian Academy Lions on Thursday. They breezed by the Lions at home to the tune of 63-36. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Temple Christian has managed all season.
Temple Christian found their leader in underclassman Josh Little, who went 11 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Little has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Rivera, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Temple Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Mintz Christian Academy, their loss ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-1.
Temple Christian will head out on the road to challenge Liberty Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Mintz Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Grace Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. Grace Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 567th in South Carolina, while Mintz Christian Academy is ranked 243rd in North Carolina).
