Softball Recap: Mishawaka Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Mishawaka had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies as they made off with a 13-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cavemen, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Mishawaka pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Plymouth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Mishawaka will face off against Concord at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cavemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Minutemen have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Plymouth, they will square off against Goshen at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The RedHawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.06 runs per game on average), something the Pilgrims/Rockies will no doubt try to take advantage of.
