Mansfield Homeschool not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 17th. Everything went their way against the Har-Ber Wildcats as they made off with a 10-4 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Jaxon Rickert looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Zac Heefner was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and three runs. That home run was his first of the season. Hudson Miller was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Mansfield Homeschool kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March.
Mansfield Homeschool's record is now 22-6-2. As for Har-Ber, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-4.
Looking ahead, Mansfield Homeschool will be taking part in a tournament against Chickasha at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Har-Ber, they will head out to challenge Nixa at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
