There's no place like home for Biloxi, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the St. Martin Yellow Jackets on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Yellow Jackets last Tuesday, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Shawn Gollott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Lofton, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Tristain Haynes, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Biloxi hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Martin struck out 11 times.

Biloxi's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12. As for St. Martin, they dropped their record down to 11-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Yellow Jackets beat Biloxi by a score of 13-4 on Saturday.
