The Millard West Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Westview at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Millard West ended up a good deal behind the Monarchs and lost 60-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Millard West has scored all season.
Defeat or not, Millard West got some senior leadership from Cooper Fortune and Max Frohloff. Fortune scored seven points along with nine rebounds and two blocks, while Frohloff. scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vince Long, who scored five points.
Meanwhile, Westview came up short against the Bearcats on Monday and fell 51-42.
Millard West has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Westview, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Millard West was able to grind out a solid victory over the in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 63-55. Will Millard West repeat their success, or do the have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
