When it comes to explaining why Clarkston lost, one person who can't be blamed is Arriana Blackwell. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Blackwell scored a full 46.9% of Clarkston's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Druid Hills' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. As for Clarkston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Druid Hills will take on Carver at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Carver has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Clarkston, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southwest DeKalb at 6:00 p.m. Southwest DeKalb presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Clarkston in Georgia (Southwest DeKalb is ranked 104th, while Clarkston is ranked 459th).
