The Branchville Yellow Jackets had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Allendale-Fairfax 46-43. The victory was just what Branchville needed coming off of a 79-58 loss in their prior contest.
Branchville found their leader in underclassman Kyran Glover, who scored 19 points. Glover hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Daniel Jennings was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Branchville now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Allendale-Fairfax, they bumped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Branchville will face off against Royal Live Oaks Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Royal Live Oaks Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Allendale-Fairfax, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethune-Bowman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethune-Bowman presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Allendale-Fairfax in South Carolina (Bethune-Bowman is ranked 95th, while Allendale-Fairfax is ranked 264th).
