The Lennard Longhorns lost against the Bloomingdale Bulls back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lennard was beaten by Bloomingdale 64-22. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lennard in their matchups with Bloomingdale: they've now lost nine in a row.
Bloomingdale got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Noelle Mengel out in front who scored 21 points along with three steals. The match was Mengel's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Jatia Markes was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Lennard's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.4 points per game. As for Bloomingdale, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lennard will take on Tampa Bay Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Tampa Bay Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Bloomingdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plant at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Plant will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Bloomingdale is ranked 30th).
