While losing is never fun, Aberdeen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while American Falls is ranked 35th).
Aberdeen's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gage Driscoll, who scored six points along with five steals. Griffin Knittel was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Aberdeen dropped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for American Falls, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aberdeen will challenge Declo at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Declo will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for American Falls, they will head out on the road to square off against Marsh Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
