In what's become a running theme this season, the Moundridge Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Marion 65-38 on the road. Given Moundridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Marion is ranked 190th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Moundridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bear Moddelmog, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Kreighton Kanitz was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five steals.
Moundridge's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.2 points. As for Marion, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
Moundridge will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bennington at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Moundridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday. As for Marion, they will head out on the road to take on Ell-Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ell-Saline will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Marion surely won't give up without a fight.
