The Bishop Union Broncos will play host again and welcome the Wasco Tigers, where kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bishop Union walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pirates 28-26.
Austin Powell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Powell has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Orrick, who picked up 43 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Wasco strolled past Liberty with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 27-10. The win made it back-to-back wins for Wasco.
Bishop Union has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.6 points per game. As for Wasco, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
