Basketball Recap: Scales Mound Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Everything went the Scales Mound Hornets' way against the West Carroll Thunder on Friday as the Scales Mound Hornets made off with a 65-45 victory thanks in part to Duerr, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Scales Mound pushed their record up to 8-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for West Carroll, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Scales Mound wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-40 victory against Marengo on the 18th. As for West Carroll, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-46 win against DePue on the 18th.
