The Kermit Yellow Jackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Midland Classical Academy on the road and fell 56-14. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kermit has scored all season.
Addie Dunn was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds for Midland Classical Academy. That makes it six consecutive games in which Dunn has scored at least 25% of Midland Classical Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Davis, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Kermit has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Midland Classical Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-8.
Kermit will be playing at home against Tornillo at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tornillo is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Midland Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
