Sam Rayburn got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Natalie Hinojosa out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hinojosa pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kimari Mikell, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Sam Rayburn and bumps their season record up to 5-12. As for Dobie, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
Sam Rayburn will head out on the road to face off against Deer Park at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Deer Park presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sam Rayburn in Texas (Deer Park is ranked 484th, while Sam Rayburn is ranked 1161st). As for Dobie, they will be playing at home against South Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Houston has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2.
