The Crowley Gent will head out on the road to face off against the Mamou Demons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crowley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Crowley really took it to Hanson Memorial for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-16 victory at home.
Alaysia Arvie continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a triple-double on 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 steals. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, Mamou came up short against Sacred Heart on Saturday and fell 47-40. While losing is never fun, Mamou can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Sacred Heart is ranked 64th).
The victory got Crowley back to even at 2-2. As for Mamou, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Crowley strolled past Mamou when the teams last played back in February of 2019 by a score of 41-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crowley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
