Glenn has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Reagan Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Glenn will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 508th, while Reagan is ranked 246th).
Glenn fought the good fight in their overtime game against Parkland on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 61-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Even though Reagan has not done well against East Forsyth recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Reagan snuck past East Forsyth with a 44-40 win. The victory was some much needed relief for Reagan as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Glenn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Reagan, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
Glenn ended up a good deal behind Reagan in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 52-37. Can Glenn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
