WPIAL A Tri-County South recap Oct. 30, 2012
Carmichaels extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL A Tri-County South this week by beating West Greene, 54-7. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Jefferson-Morgan took down Geibel Catholic 70-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Aaron Weaver ran for 82 yards in the win.
Frazier's dynamic duo of Charles Manack and Jaime Fell proved tough for Mapletown to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Manack threw for 196 yards and three touchdowns and Fell had 101 yards receiving. Hunter Patterson helped Frazier's passing attack out by catching two balls for 33 yards.
Nick Kusich was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 97 yards as Avella beat the Maples. Teammate Zach Thompson added to the ground attack by rushing for 25 yards.
Frazier's Manack and Fell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Manack has thrown for 1657 yards this season, while Fell, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 42 catches for 773 yards. The Rockets' Dustin Conti leads the league in rushing yards with 1017.
Jefferson-Morgan led WPIAL A Tri-County South in scoring this week after putting up 70 points on the Gators. Weaver in the win.
