Williamsburg has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Blanchester Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 297 points over their last five matches.
Williamsburg pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gamble Montessori. The loss was Williamsburg's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Blanchester had to suffer through a rough 76-37 loss at the hands of Goshen. While losing is never fun, Blanchester can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 635th, while Goshen is ranked 138th).
Williamsburg's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1. As for Blanchester, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Everything went Williamsburg's way against Blanchester in their previous meeting back in January as Williamsburg made off with a 80-54 win. Will Williamsburg repeat their success, or does Blanchester have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
