After three games on the road, City College is heading back home. They will take on the Mergenthaler Vo-Tech Mustangs at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, City College beat Poly 54-48.
Meanwhile, Mergenthaler Vo-Tech had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 points), and they went ahead and made it six last Tuesday. They took down Benjamin Franklin 78-62. Mergenthaler Vo-Tech's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
City College's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Mergenthaler Vo-Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Everything went City College's way against Mergenthaler Vo-Tech when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as City College made off with a 74-51 win.
