AAAA Region V recap Sept. 26, 2012
White Knoll extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region V this week by beating Lugoff-Elgin, 35-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Timberwolves.
North Augusta took down Grovetown 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Lexington's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Will Hunter threw for 223 and two touchdowns and Keelo Norris had 81 yards receiving. On the ground Grayson Chumley chipped in 41 yards. Altyree Walker helped Lexington's passing attack out by catching four balls for 81 yards.
Lexington's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hunter has thrown for 983 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Walker has 19 catches for 332 yards. Chumley leads the league in rushing with 459 yards.
The Yellowjackets led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on the Warriors.
