The Deer Trail Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They received a tough blow  as they fell  42-27 to Kiowa. Deer Trail has not had much luck with Kiowa recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
 Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Ally Hardwick, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and 11  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Hardwick has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Megan Donovan, who  scored five points along with nine  rebounds and seven  blocks.
  Jordan Perreault was  her usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 17 points and 11  rebounds for Kiowa. That's the first time this season that  Perreault  pulled down eight or more   rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Rylee Wyer, who  scored eight points along with seven  steals.
 Deer Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Kiowa, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deer Trail will  face off against Elbert at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Kiowa's road trip will continue as they head out to face Swallows Charter Academy at 11:00  a.m.  on January 12th. Swallows Charter Academy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
