After a string of five wins, the New Manna Christian Wind's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 62-52 to Victory Christian Academy. New Manna Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Victory Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
New Manna Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Micah Wagner and Cannon Stamey. Wagner scored 21 points, while Stamey scored 18 points.
New Manna Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4. As for Victory Christian Academy, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.
New Manna Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Gospel Light Christian at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Gospel Light Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six last Friday. Victory Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
