Pell City took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pelham Panthers 35-7 at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for Pell City as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Izaiah Smith had a dynamite game for Pell City, rushing for 180 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pell City's defense and their eight sacks. Jordan Woods led the group effort, picking up four of those sacks all by himself.
