Basketball Recap: Bullard Drops Highest Score of Season Against Sanger

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bullard). They blew past the Sanger Apaches, posting an 81-29 victory. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Apaches are ranked 326th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sanger's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Garcia, who posted 11 points. That's the most points Garcia has posted since back in November of 2024. Zoe Gonzalez was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Bullard moved to 10-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Sanger, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Bullard will head out to square off against Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sanger, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Roosevelt at 6:30 p.m. Roosevelt is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season.
