There's no place like home for the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Meridian 61-27 at home. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City had established a 33 point advantage.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ruby Stuckemeyer, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stuckemeyer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Macee Rodman, who scored 18 points along with five assists.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Meridian, they dropped their record down to 10-18 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will take on the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Meridian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shelbyville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
