Rylee Villasanor and Jenna Cancienne made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Villasanor pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Cancienne tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. At the plate, Villasanor fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-3, while Cancienne got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double. That's the most home runs Villasanor has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Hahnville got a massive performance out of Jordyn Chaix, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Amberly Dempster, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel made easy work of Destrehan on Thursday and carried off a 13-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cubs.
Hahnville's record is now 20-6. As for Mt. Carmel, their record now sits at 14-4.
