The Winslow Township Eagles's four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They escaped with a win against Westampton Tech by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Winslow Township also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2017.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daelan Dickerson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Dickerson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Shakur Anderson, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Winslow Township's win bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Westampton Tech, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winslow Township will face off against Moorestown at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westampton Tech, Westampton Tech and Trenton Catholic Academy will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Trenton Catholic Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Westampton Tech likes a good challenge.
