Volleyball Recap: Lake View Starts Season with Victory Against Mather

Lake View gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Mather Rangers by a score of 2-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Lake View not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mather between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18.

Mather's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Coming up, Lake View will hit the road for the first time this season to take on North Grand at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mather, they will challenge Northtown at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pumas will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rangers surely won't give up without a fight.
