Pueblo South is 8-2 against Pueblo County since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Pueblo South Colts will head out on the road to challenge the Pueblo County Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Pueblo South has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 260 points over their last four games.
Last Friday, Pueblo South strolled past Pueblo Centennial with points to spare, taking the game 63-45.
Maurice Austin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 40 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Pueblo South's points. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Duran, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Pueblo County came up short against Pueblo Central on Friday and fell 55-45.
Pueblo South is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Pueblo County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Everything went Pueblo South's way against Pueblo County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Pueblo South made off with a 65-39 victory. Will Pueblo South repeat their success, or does Pueblo County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
