The Boling Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Brazos Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boling is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Boling won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a serious blow against Hitchcock, falling 87-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Boling has suffered against Hitchcock since January 22, 2021.
While Brazos couldn't quite beat Van Vleck on Friday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 42-point defeat they were dealt on Wednesday. Brazos fell just short of Van Vleck by a score of 37-34. The contest was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but Brazos was outscored by Van Vleck in the second.
Boling's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Brazos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.
Boling didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Brazos in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 69-65 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Boling since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
