Meadowbrook and Crooksville are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Colts will host the Ceramics at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Meadowbrook is returning to their home field after beating New Philadelphia on theirs, despite the fact New Philadelphia has dominated at home this season. The Colts came out on top against the Quakers by a score of 6-2 on Saturday.

Addy Sichina made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sommer Ginn, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Crooksville made easy work of River View on Thursday and carried off a 12-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Ceramics, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Elyse Baker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Crooksville got a massive performance out of Mylin Driggs, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Driggs has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Chamberlin, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.
Meadowbrook's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Crooksville, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.
Everything went Meadowbrook's way against Crooksville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Meadowbrook made off with a 13-1 win. Do the Colts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ceramics turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
