Soccer Recap: Sylvania Wins Going Away Against Geraldine

Sylvania barely beat Geraldine the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Everything went the Sylvania Rams' way against the Geraldine Bulldogs on Tuesday as the Sylvania Rams made off with a 6-3 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by three goals or more this season.

Sylvania is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those five games. This is the second loss in a row for Geraldine and nudges their season record down to 1-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sylvania will challenge Glencoe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Geraldine, they are taking a road trip to face off against Collinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Geraldine has given up an average of 3.9 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
