Oak Grove (Mo.) jumped out to an early lead against
Grain Valley (Mo.) and never looked back on the way to a 49-22 victory on Saturday.
In the first quarter, the Panthers put up seven points. Oak Grove scored on a touchdown run by
Ethan Fugitt.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Fugitt in the first quarter, OG was up 21-0 at the half.
The Panthers expanded their lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. Oak Grove scored three times in the third, including once on an
Aaron Graham touchdown run.
OG also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 54-7.
The loss was the fourth in a row for the Eagles.
Oak Grove (7-1) goes up against Excelsior Springs in a Missouri River Valley - West game matchup next week, while Grain Valley (3-5) locks horns with Odessa also in a Missouri River Valley - West game.
