After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last eight game, The Texas Wind finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 52-6 defeat at the hands of Westlake Academy. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Rhys Bonow threw for 106 yards and a touchdown. Jack Daggett was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Andrew Hoang went supernova for Westlake Academy, rushing for 100 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Nicolas Sansone got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Texas Wind now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Westlake Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.
Texas Wind will head out on the road to face off against Stephenville FAITH at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stephenville FAITH will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Westlake Academy will take on East Texas Homeschool Sports at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Texas Homeschool Sports is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
