After flying high against the Wallace Wildcats on Thursday, the Arapahoe Warriors came back down to earth. Arapahoe fell to Southern Valley 58-52. Arapahoe has struggled against Southern Valley recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Arapahoe saw an underclassman step up: Kade Fisher scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Fisher scored a full 42.3% of Arapahoe's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Trenton Roskop was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
It was another big night for Kamden Bose, who scored 30 points along with eight rebounds for Southern Valley. The team also got some help courtesy of Tylor Grove, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Arapahoe's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Southern Valley, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arapahoe and Maxwell will face off at 4:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Maxwell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Tuesday. As for Southern Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bertrand at 6:30 p.m.
