Academy with Community Partners put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to BASIS - Mesa for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-38 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 33 points or more this season.

Academy with Community Partners got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Julian Garcia Rivera out in front who went 10 for 22 on his way to 28 points and five steals. Demise Kimble was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds.

Academy with Community Partners' win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.2 points. As for BASIS - Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Academy with Community Partners and BASIS - Mesa will both be playing Berean Academy the next time they take the court. Academy with Community Partners will host Berean Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025, while BASIS - Mesa will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
