South Adams won the last time they faced Manchester and things went their way on Saturday too. The Starfires put the hurt on the Squires with a sharp 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Starfires, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Bekah Patterson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Avery Brown was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

South Adams always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manchester only posted an OBP of .400.

South Adams is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Manchester, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

South Adams didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Garrett on the 10th. As for Manchester, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 17-8 win against New Haven on the 10th.
