Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Latin). They were the clear victors by an 18-6 margin over the Chicago University Maroons on Wednesday. Latin got a massive performance out of Drew Lufrano, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Lufrano has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of John Rose, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Latin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Coming up, Latin will face off against Holy Trinity at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Romans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chicago University, they will take on Jones at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
