After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Churchill, Dearborn was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Western International Cowboys 17-7. The high-scoring effort was just what the Pioneers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Calyssa Post made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Post was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with three RBI. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had over her last nine contests.
In other batting news, Dearborn got a massive performance out of Madison Shoff, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Shoff has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Ball, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Dearborn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
