Freehold Boro will challenge Lacey Township on the road at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Freehold Boro don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Freehold Boro were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their game against Freehold Township last Friday. It was close but no cigar for Freehold Boro as they fell 10-13 to Freehold Township. The contest was a 3-3 toss-up at halftime, but Freehold Boro were outplayed the rest of the way.
Meanwhile, we expected Lacey Township to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Brick Township, and they did. Lacey Township ended up on the wrong side of a painful 14-42 walloping at Brick Township's hands. Lacey Township were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-28.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
