The NCAA Tournament and high school basketball state championships in nearly 30 states have been canceled, leaving fans to wonder what may have been.
To help fill the void, we are marching on with our annual tradition of constructing a high school basketball field of 68. This year, we are taking the extra step of playing it out fantasy-style and crowning a champion.
The brackets were filled by the top 68 teams in the country, building on our Top 25 rankings and factoring in strength of schedule, postseason results and head-to-head results.

East Region Highlights: Top-ranked
Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) advances to the Final Four after blowout wins in the first three rounds before pulling away from
Eden Prairie (Minn.) in the second half of an Elite 8 showdown. Upsets out of the East included No. 3 seed Eden Prairie slipping past No. 2 seed
La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.) in the Sweet 16 and No. 12
Madison La Follette (Madison, Wis.) knocking off No. 5
St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) in first round action.
South Region Highlights: No. 4 seed
Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) shook things up in the South by upsetting No. 1 seed
Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.). Sierra Canyon ultimately ran out of gas in its Elite 8 showdown with No. 2 seed
Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.), which also narrowly defeated No. 7
Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) and No. 3
Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, N.Y.) en route to the regional title.
West Region Highlights: Both Sweet 16 matchups were high-octane showdowns that were decided by buzzer-beaters as No. 1 seed
Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, Utah) overcame a slow start to defeat No. 5
IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) and No. 6
Bloomington South (Bloomington, Ind.) captured its third consecutive two-point victory, upsetting No. 2 seed
Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.).
Midwest Region Highlights: The headliner in the Midwest was a rematch of an early season showdown between No. 1 seed
Sunrise Christian Academy (Bel Aire, Kan.) and No. 2
DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.). The Maryland program avenged a 75-67 home loss Dec. 8 with a stunning comeback victory in the Elite 8.
Final Four Highlights: Regarded as one of the best high school teams in recent years, Montverde Academy lived up to that billing with a 25-point win over DeMatha in the national semifinals. On the other half of the bracket, Wasatch Academy took down Prolific Prep in a high-scoring affair. The title game saw Montverde continue its dominance, using a 15-0 run late in the third quarter to win the MaxMadness championship game going away over Wasatch Academy.
