They enjoyed a cozy 68-49 victory over Asheville School (Independent). Given Christ School's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Asheville School (Independent) is ranked 287th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Christ School to victory were Keenan Wilkins and Jamari Briggs. Wilkins scored 22 points along with two steals, while Briggs scored 14 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Wilkins hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Zymicah Wilkins was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Christ School's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. As for Asheville School (Independent), they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-7 record last season and are now at 2-11.
Christ School will be playing at home against Wando at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Asheville School (Independent), they will head out on the road to face off against Carolina Day at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Carolina Day and Asheville School (Independent) are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
