It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Ware County Gators had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Decatur at home to the tune of 49-0. Considering Ware County has won seven contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ware County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dae'jeaun Dennis, who rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Rj Boyd, who rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns.
Ware County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Decatur, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Ware County will face off against Warner Robins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warner Robins will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. Decatur does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
