The Web of Wisdom Wizards had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 33-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Genesis Prep.
Despite the loss, Web of Wisdom saw an underclassman step up: Jacen Beck scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Jenkins, who scored 5 points.
Web of Wisdom's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Genesis Prep, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Web of Wisdom will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Solid Rock Community at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Genesis Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Ridge Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridge Christian Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
