This season hasn't been kind to The Beyer Patriots, who are still winless after their tenth match. They took a serious blow against Johansen on Thursday, falling 40-6. Beyer has struggled against Johansen recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Tek Garcia was his usual excellent self, rushing for 205 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Garcia is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Johansen also got a significant boost from Aeric Amerel, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 80 yards.
Beyer's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-9 Modesto and 3-6 Ceres (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 39.9% over those games). As for Johansen, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Beyer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Johansen also has no future games currently scheduled.
